    Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2013 Salute to the Leadership Awards. Every year NASWA's President, Board of Directors and certain Committees present awards recognizing states and individuals for their excellent contributions to the public workforce system.   • NASWA Veteran Services Conference 2013: July 17-19, 2013

    The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) invites you to join us in the Nation's Capital for the first ever NASWA Conference focusing solely on Veterans. The "NASWA Veteran Services Conference 2013" will be held Wednesday, July 17 - starting at 1:00 p.m., and will end at noon on Friday, July 19, 2013.   • 2013 IRORA State Agreement Information

    As of April 29, 2013, there are 36 states (AK, AL, AZ, CO, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY) signing onto the NASWA 2013 IRORA agreement.

    In February 2013, the NASWA's Board of Directors approved the updated Interstate Reciprocal Overpayment Recovery Arrangement (IRORA) agreement. The updated agreement is available for states to sign and participate in the arrangement. ... Read More >>

  • NASWA Testifies before U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Implementation of EUC Reforms

    On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, the House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Resources held a hearing on how states have implemented the unemployment insurance (UI) reforms to the Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) program enacted in the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012.
