Employment Security Department is is seeking a
Special Wage and Benefits (SWAB) Manager to plan,
direct and execute multiple statewide UI Benefit programs and to manage a team
of nine professional staff. The programs managed include Interstate Combined
Wage Claims (CWC), Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE),
Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Military (UCX) and Special Wage and Benefits
Unit (SWAB). This position serves as the Interstate Program Coordinator for
Washington State, which represents four states on the Interstate Benefits
Committee. We are seeking tactical and strategic leadership who can develop and
implement timetables and work plans to achieve program goals and objectives.
Top candidates
will have technical expertise in the following types of UI benefits:
Unemployment Insurance for Washington Combined Wage Claimants (CWC),
Unemployment Insurance for Ex-Federal Employees (UCFE), and Unemployment
Insurance for Ex-Military Personnel (UCX). In addition to technical expertise in
these areas, we need candidates with technical writing and professional
correspondence skills, communication skills, and supervisory and management
experience.
This position is
located in Olympia, Washington. The starting salary range is expected to
be negotiated within the Washington Management Service (WMS) Band 1 range of
$40,000 - $81,600 annually, plus a full benefits package.
